On the sheet is a young woman, sitting calmly and naturally. There is no pose or play in her appearance, she does not try to seem other than she is, she simply exists in the moment. A direct and open gaze, gentle facial features, the smooth line of the neck, and a slightly turned shoulder form an image where the essence lies not in a fleeting instant but in a lasting state of inner silence and balance.

The drawing took shape slowly, over the course of several months. It began with a virtual acquaintance, followed by a few meetings and the suggestion to pose. The personal story remains outside the frame, yet it is present in the very fabric of the graphic work. The artist persistently searched for the right form, altering the tilt of the neck, the angle of the shoulder, the direction of the gaze, seeking to capture the invisible structure in which the sitter’s essence reveals itself. In her presence there is no tension, no attempt to impress. What emerges is simplicity, kindness, and a quiet inner order. It is an image of femininity without declarations and without adornment.

The portrait does not describe a relationship and does not turn into a diary of feelings. It speaks in the language of line and light, leaving much unsaid. For the artist this work becomes a personal question: what can you truly give another person if you decide to remain by their side? And what will endure after the final line has been laid down?
